Be You As Why?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Busy - a cliché reason or maybe excuse that allows people to get rid of things they don’t want to do. Or it might be because one is really busy in its actual meaning that prevents him to fulfill his hobbies and preferences.

Getting busy with study, co-curriculum activities and the around the corner exams to go, those are my reasons of not visiting friend’s blog, and even I haven’t had time to check my own! But I hope it’s not too late to wish Syifa for her belated birthday. Well Syifa, Happy Birthday to You. I hope you enjoy the song that I dedicated to you, and please take note that I really mean what I sang. Listen to the lyrics ya?

Ok, that’s all. Got reports to do.

Engitex & Visit to Gombak

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I know whose bike this is and i saw the owner minutes before I captured this picture. Afiq, rosak uh?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I visited my lil bro at his new schoool, boarding school named Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (SBP) Integrasi Gombak. Since the school is located not far from UIA, so i have time to see him. Owh togather with emak n abah actually.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Brooom brooom.. Penyapu penyapu.. Owh no... they are all supermotorbike drivers during Engitex. Cool huh?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Since it was Engitex, it's was all about engin. No la... Like this one, it's a device programmmed to walk directed by Ir scanning underneath it. Cool!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The exhibitor. His name is Lee Chong Hoon. Eh, no! His name is Nakamura Hiroshima. Eh, no! His name is Azhari Miftahul Djannah. Pergh.. Nama ko tak hingat! An engineering student from Indonesia (but he doesn't look like one to me) who explained me the devide that he created. Cool!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The Exhibition. Cool! But i wonder, now Kulliyyah of Science have moved to Kuantan. Next academic year we'll have convocation, in which usually representative from Kuantan campus will be asked to organize Medical Exhibition (why must the word Medic is there where as it wasn't merely about medical stuff?) as one of the subprogram. Is it going to be another Medical Exhibition? Hey, Kulliyyah of Science got Mathematical students i mind you!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The aeroplane made of poly-estrene. Creative and cool!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Is it me, who is tall? Or they who are short? Argh!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Yay! PC Carnival! But I didn't buy anything because I haven't got my loan from SUK Selangor. Fortunately I do business as backup, which is just enough for my daily expenses.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
UIA students kah ini?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Yes they are! They are UIA students, but they didn't show as they should. Cover your aurah dudes! I see that the regulation (I mean university's regulation, not Islamic law) wasn't being applied here although actually uncovering aurah in the public is prohibited in Islam. Is it islamic to behave like this. Just few more centimeters to see the ducti and sacs i tell you! Who to blame? SRC? MRC? Pak Guard? To make thing worse, there were students from other university during the day I captured these pictures attending Engitex. NOT COOL!!!

New Life of My Lil Bro

It was moment full of emotion. Although I wasn’t there, I could feel it, I knew it. I could feel it because I’ve gone through the experience; left by mak and abah for the first time after registering in the secondary school.

Before I left to Kuantan, I gave this advice to him:

Nanti bila dah masuk sekolah baru nanti jangan menyusahkan mak ngan abah.

Jangan susahkan mak abah. Jangan jadi macam abang Zaki dulu. Jangan ulang apa yang abang Zaki pernah buat. Abang Zaki rasa bersalah buat mak ngan abah macam tu dulu. Bila masuk sekolah baru ni, duit banyak keluar. Jangan susahkan mak abah minta pindah sekolah lain, macam abang Zaki buat dulu. Cukup-cukup la abang Zaki buat mak ngan abah macam tu. Jangan ulang. Faham?

He nodded.

Yesterday, I called him during his registration to the new school, secondary school to be exact – Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi (SBPI) Gombak, not more than a kilometer from UIA Gombak campus. I asked him, what he felt. He answered, “Gembira, tapi takut.” Then I repeated the same advice. I really hoped he understood what I meant. Now it’ all up to him to execute what I said. I was almost to cry, but I succeed of not to. I didn’t want to demotivate him.

Welcome to new life. Welcome to boarding school life. Welcome to larger and different world. I hope you’ll be patient, be tough Muhammad Zawawi bin Ramli! I pray to Him to guide you to the right way... Amin... Sob sob...

I got this picture from abah by MMS. Looking emak’s face, she doesn’t smile like she always does. I know, she’s fighting with the sadness inside. So do me.

Enjoyable but Hazy

It was an enjoyable program but the motive was weird. Named Campus Interaction Day (CID), I personally think that it didn’t achieve the objective. As far as I know, it aimed to welcome us from Kulliyyah of Science to this Kuantan campus. But the events held in it, I didn’t feel any of it really shot the objective.

The marathon; how was it really welcome us? It wasn’t clear. The exhibition, in which I involved in preparing the materials for Sciencess, how was it really welcome us? The stall, well, I can see something but not strong enough to say it welcomed us. The quiz; how was it really welcome us? Lastly, the performance, to me it was hazy because the theme set for the performance is based on ‘welcoming students from Kulliyyah of Science’, but why we also need to perform? They’re weird right?

No no no... I don’t mean to offend anybody here. They were just questions lingering in my mind. Overlooking all those, the events were all enjoyable although the fact that not many KOS students really aware the objective of the program. I didn’t take part in marathon, but I did have thrown my sight on the participants who ran around the campus. Besides that, I almost was to represent Sciencess in the quiz, but I gave the chance to my friends. They won third place, which to me not well enough for some reasons; the questions wasn’t fairly distributed and the loose rules acted by the committees were very much questionable.

I gave millions credits for my juniors, very much fresh first year first semester students who represented Sciencess in the performance. They did very well. Their acting performance was excellent. If they didn’t bother too much with the microphones, just say the scripts out loud, they could bit Medic students, who won the first prize. Other societies aimed to make audience laughing, but we aimed to make audience ponders, thinks about their parents. I was about to cry, but... macho man! Sob sob sob...

For more info but not bias (hehe...) and more pictures , read sciencess's blog. My subcomm, Zikir is working on it.

Getting Busy...

I spend lesser time in front of computer to do non-academic things like watching movies, designing etc. I spend lesser time in the computer lab and cybercafé. I haven’t downloaded anything since last week. Apart from that, my file is getting heavier and thicker. Those mean something – I’m getting busier with lectures!

Not like previously, most of the time the lecturers weren’t in the class, even we didn’t know who will teach us. But now, all classes are filled with lecturers and lectures (except Parenting class – I wanna learn being parent!!!). I wonder how they going to cover up the topics since we started the courses late. Even we haven’t started any lab session yet although there are abundant of them are to be completed! I don’t want the burden to be put on our shoulders on the reasons that aren’t caused by us!

I am pity to Biotech students who still haven’t started some classes. Their fate is worse as compared to mine. Hey, it’s already the end of the 5th week maaa... The midterm exam period is around the corner. Pergh~

Now, just see the pictures and the caption followed. This is the best that I can do to recap my holiday and the days follow.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My family and I went to Ulu Yam. I can’t recall when the last time we had time together outside our home was. That means it’s been very very very long time we haven’t had picnics. This might be due to few obstacles – my emak with her daily restaurant business, my abah with his hemodialysis three times every week, and I myself who was very busy with my life as university students. My lil bro? He’s the one who always mutters asking my parents to go out somewhere other than Banting and Morib beach. Poor Awi~

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I found this small board in a mosque which pulled me to think a second. In English, it means ‘There’s no other call more important than Allah’s call’. Hm... (thinking).

The journey from Kuantan to KL is more joyful and scenic than the other way. Why uh? Emotion may be...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I’m doing new business! I’m selling kerepek now, besides my delicious sandwiches (recognized by most people who have tried it!). The idea to sell kerepek wasn’t from me actually, but from my parents. During my last back-to-home, they suggested to me to sell kerepek and I can’t say much but agree to them. There, I’m sealing the plastic bag containing the RM1 kerepek. Anyone would like to buy? Er... no offense, but I look thinner and more handsome in this picture right? Vomit vomit vomit!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
There are few of my friends wanna ‘kenen-kenen’kan (don’t know the term in English but it’s like spreading rumour saying that the girl and I are couple) between the girl and me. But no la... I’ve got one already, although she don’t know there’s still space for forgiveness in me. Hehe... (boleh percaya ke statement aku ni? :D)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Ahaha~ Kak Ila teaching her cunning and talkative Hasya how to use the cutlery. I wonder how she spends her days with this girl. Hey, no offense though. It’s a sign that Hasya will be a very intelligent girl one day. She sang Pencinta Wanita in front of me I tell you! Owh... actually this picture is captured on last Sunday where Kak Ila belanja-ed me at Pizza Hut restaurant. Terima kasih Kak Ila. Speechless bley? Burrppp... Ops~

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Sending my mom’s Kembara to the workshop to fix the burnt light bulb and leaked tyre. Syyy... the tyres, botak (bold) already but I can’t afford paying about RM100 for each tyre! The car still can be used provided I drive it carefully and slowly. I’m dead if the JPJ or policemen detect this.

Competition

Now everyone starts thinking of doing business after seeing my sandwiches decorating the brick wall in front of the computer lab. Oh no... maybe not all, but at least everyone has a second of blink thinking of it. After sandwich, what’s next?

There it came last week; one-ringgit hotdog competing my sandwiches. Its sale goes quite well, so do mine alhamdulillah. Now customers (including makcik cleaners, staffs, lecturers and students of course) have three choices; tuna sandwich, egg sandwich and hotdog.

Then new paragraph of the story is written. Yesterday, I was quite shocked, two more competitors existed - air kotak and jambu batu. No, no... I’m not afraid of competition. That’s normal in business field. I’m okay with their presence. Welcome open-handedly...

In a way, I don’t really care, up to you la whatever you want to put there. The business “center” isn’t mine, neither anyone. It belongs to the kulliyyah. In other way, I’m afraid if the authority will take charge on this actually-illegal selling. If today there are 4 items sold, what if next week, what if next month (year will do also)? They are evolving! Sure. Then there is unofficial kiosk established in front of the computer lab. This may affect my sandwiches selling! Only then I do care.

So what’s next? Sweets? Canned soft drinks? Roti Gardenia? Let’s see... People, guess! What’s next? :D

*the above was vomited on Wednesday. I couldn’t post it because of the problem with internet connection throughout Malaysia.

Yesterday on Thursday (since there’s another yesterday above which refers to Tuesday), two more competitors existed. They sell biscuits and cakes. Argh!

There they are~

I'm thinking of putting this picture as the background of my next blog layout. Not yet decided...

Aku Bengang!!!

That was last night's story. However, when I woke up it's gone. Forget it, and I learn this - don't put full hope on people who are not as eager as you are. They don't have the spirit, and they don't know how the beautiful the spirit is. That's why... that's why they don't know, they don't understand. Keling!

Wet Wet Wet...

It’s been a while when about half of the Peninsular Malaysia is attacked by continuous rainfall. There are few locations flooded with two death cases reported so far. Kuantan is un-except-ed! Fortunately, this campus doesn’t flood although the rain keeps falling almost every hour.

I thought this is normal here in Pantai Timur since it’s already end of the year where the monsoon is switching. I used to reading news on this matter when I was in Selangor. No, no... I was wrong. This is not a normal weather.

For your information, this is my first time living far from Selangor of the entire of my life. Flood in my kampong did occur, but it’s very rare. If there is any, it’ll not last too long. If there’s rainfall, it’ll not in every hour! Today, here, it’s already the fifth of continuous rainy day (even while I’m writing this, the rain suddenly fall, again). At the night, I prefer not to turn the fan on and not to let the windows open because it’s too cold and windy; although I have quite a wide layer of adipose tissue underneath my skin... Hehe...

The further you travel, the wider your experience - this really applies on me.

Poor to those who live in some part of Johor, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka with massive flood. Be patient, this is only a small trial that He gives to us. Just imagine those who live with bullets flying like rain, security assurance is none.

Nothing to do at the room, i do designing using Photoshop.

For your information, i'm currently establishing the Sciencess's blog. The address is http://sciencess-iium.blogspot.com where reports and news regarding Kulliyyah of Science and the students (and staffs if possible) will be loaded into it. I'm not the one who will be in-charge of writing entries in it. I give the task to my sub-committees while I just monitor their works. Any KOS students who would like their addresses (blog, journal etc) to be advertised in the blog, please let me know. Maybe I'll expand the links to science-based students all around the world.

Son of Business-Minded Parents

I still remember when I was in primary school, I used to selling my mom’s nasi lemak to my friends. They booked their orders then the next day I came to school bringing a big plastic bag full of nasi lemak packs. I got 20 cents of each nasi lemak biasa sold out of the 60-cent price (that time stuffs weren’t as expensive as nowadays’).

Then when I moved to SAMBEST, I used to selling chocolates and cookies in my dorm where my roommates were my business target. I just put them on the rack and left them there, putting full trust on the roommates. Maklum la, sekolah agama~

Next, during matriculation time, I sold top up cards. That was only after a friend of mine, Thaqif Ilman promoted me to join his business. They weren’t like cards that we used to see, but it’s ‘virtual’. The modus operandi was easy; I sent particular codes to the company via SMS, then I received a message telling the pin numbers to top up. It was that pin numbers that I sold, not the cards themselves. It’s easy right?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is Thaqif Ilman, SAMBESTARIANS know him right?

Now, when I move to this calm-but-dull Kuantan campus, I have lots of time to do business. I sell sandwiches! Yes, sandwiches! The idea arises when seeing that the café of KOS is situated quite far from the academic building. So I see business opportunity is there.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Sandwich anyone?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The basket.

Preparing the sandwiches does not acquire too much time. I spend about an hour after Subh prayer to finish about 20 sets of sandwich containing 4 pieces of cut-to-half-bread. There are two types of sandwich I prepare; egg sandwich and tuna sandwich. The earlier one is usually sold out. Again, I use the concept leave-and-trust where I just put the sandwiches in front of the computer lab (where most KOS students will spend their leisure time) at 9 am and I’ll take the usually-empty basket at 5 pm. Alhamdulillah I gain some profit everyday. Well, that’s the aim of doing business right?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My cupboard packed with breads and eggs.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I hate this picture actually but I have no other choice. Just want to show how choosy I am when it comes to selecting breads with high quality. I look like mak nenek with that opened-mouth. Hehe~

Since my business targets are among my kulliyyah-mates, I face a problem that I have expected earlier. They know me so they tend to ask me to ‘belanja’ them. What can I do is just smile and go away. It’s because if I treat any of them, the rest will demand the same. The point is that, I have to be fair no matter they are friends or customers and I have to be clear to distinguish between business and other social life. Business is business beb!

Being a son of parents who are technically business-minded does not allow me from avoiding the inherited gene to be expressed. It’s in me and from time to time the phenotype is articulated and consequently practiced. You know my mom owns a restaurant named “Warung Ucu” right? Well, the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. himself encouraged his followers to do business, didn’t he? I’m actually doing ibadah besides gaining profit, alhamdulillah...

Ok, stop. It’s maghrib already. I need to take bath and then bring friends including a visitor from Gombak to dinner outside campus. Out!
